Spinner's Story...
Comments from kennel staff: "Spinner is new to us, but is an extremely sweet older girl who came to us as a brood mom. She's very patient and laid back, and will make a wonderful pet."
***UPDATE 8-24-09*** Comments from the Foster Home: "Spinner is a very sweet and laid back girl. She has adapted very well to routines and instruction, and will quickly obey you if you tell her "no" if there is something you prefer her to leave alone. She is tolerant of kids, but would most likely do best with older (12+) more mature children. She's also good at sleeping through the night, but is happy to get her day underway when your alarm goes off and you are ready to rise. She is adjusting very well in our home!" (You may also see more on Spinner on our Hounds of the Black Brigade page...)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spinner, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
