Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone!! I'm Sophie, a 2 yr old Shih-Chon, a Shih Tzu and Bichon
Frise combo. Boy have I come a long way from the matted mess I was when
my human foster mom got me. Now I am 12 lbs of A-DOR-A-BLE, if I do say
so myself!
I was surrendered to the pound because my first family had kids who
poked, prodded and pulled on me. So needless to say I'm not very
tolerant of those little creatures. I do love the bigger ones, though,
and love to cuddle and play - especially with my furry foster brother and
sister. My foster mom says what a love bug I am, too, because I just love
to have my belly rubbed on and get kisses!
I've not been formally trained, but I am crate and semi-house trained -
meaning that when I start panting or sniffing everywhere, it usually
means I need to go out. So far I've only had one accident in the house,
but I need someone with a little understanding just in case I slip up
every now and then.
My foster mom lets me sleep in the bed with her and I can go all night
with no accidents. In fact, I hardly even make a peep.
Because of my Bichon heritage, my hair gets matted easily so I need to
be kept groomed and looking my best. I am current on all of my shots,
spayed, heartworm negative, and on flea and heartworm meds.
I'm being fostered in Newport News, VA and my asking adoption fee is $275.
E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
