Frankie's Story...
FRANKIE, an adorable blue-eyed white and fawn brindle AmStaff mix, needs one of 3 things NOW: either a temporary two-week foster, a new foster altogether or to find his forever home. His current foster has a family emergency and must be out of town for two weeks, so we MUST AT LEAST find him a NEW PLACE to rest his head by the end of the weekend (6/21)! If you can only foster temporarily we would greatly appreciate it and Frankie could go back to his current foster when they return on July 3rd.

FRANKIE is somewhere between 3-4 years old and is a very mellow dog. He does love to play and especially loves people. Frankie is not a fan of other dogs or small animals such as cats, so he would need to be the ONLY pet. We know this can be a difficult thought—to care for an animal who has some aggression issues towards other animals—but Frankie is truly worth the sacrifice. He repays your kindness with cuddles and kisses! He loves to run and could be trained to be a great running partner, if that is what you might be looking for… you would just need to be careful of other animals in your path. We also have a trainer who would work with you FREE while you foster to help him with his issues. It would be great if you have a nice yard, but not a must. Frankie has good leash manners and does not pull, unless of course he sees another dog. He is also crate-trained and housebroken. Frankie has been living with a family that has a 5 year old son and they are in love, as you can see in the picture. He is very gentle with children. Frankie is a beautiful blue-eyed pup, but like many white pit mixes he has some skin allergies which we are working on with a vet.

It is free to foster Frankie. To adopt, there is an adoption fee of $200. His current foster family will provide you with his toys, bowls, leash, collar etc!! If you are interested in helping us with this loving guy, whether temporary or permanent, please contact April at 917-270-3841 / muttsandmitts@optonline.net. No time is too late to call... and we are DESPERATE.

FRANKIE is current on his vaccinations, has been neutered and microchipped. He is one of the dogs Mutts & Mitts of Brooklyn has rescued from a kill-shelter. Mutts & Mitts of Brooklyn is a rescue organization which places homeless cats and dogs in loving temporary or permanent homes! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a Brooklyn American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
