Boomer's Story...
This is Boomer. He's a pit bull. He's such a good boy that he went to a class in a local college today to illustrate how nice and loving pitts can be. The girls in the boarding kennel LOVE him. He needs a home! He's about 1 1/2 years old, has all his shots and is housetrained. He isnt fixed yet but has an appointment to have it done soon. He gets along well with other dogs and doesnt seem to mind kids, either. I'm not so sure about cats, but if you have a cat with a well developed sense of self..she'll put him in his place right away. His Adoption fee of $175 covers his neutering, all shots, collar, ID tag, worm and flea prevention and if done by our clinic, a microchip. If neutering is done by your vet, we refund $50 upon proof of neutering.

If you are interested in adopting Boomer, please go to our home page, copy the adoption application and paste it into an email ( unless you know a higher tech method, if so feel free to use it) then email it to me at Christine@kirbysfriends.com. Once that is done, call 810-252-1988 and we can set up an appointment for you to meet Boomer. Like all our dogs, most of his adoption fee is refundable if he needs to be returned.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Swartz Creek American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Swartz Creek, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Swartz Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Swartz Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Swartz Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Swartz Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
