Maize is a one year old, 45 pound, social butterfly! She loves other dogs and is feline approved, she thinks kids are the coolest thing since sliced bread, and she is very good in her crate. She has outstanding social skills that allow her to get along well with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. She walks well on leash, she is crate trained, and she knows how to sit on command already. This smart, social gal will be perfect for a home with kids, other dogs, and frequent visitors, and she would be a pleasure to take along to the park or other family recreational activities.
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Ace Hardware in Oxford on Friday August 9th from 2pm - 6pm. On Saturday August 10th CPR will be at Petsmart in Plainville from 10am - 2pm! On Sunday August 11th CPR will be hosting an Open House at our adoption center located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury from 10am-1pm. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
