Elmer's Story...
N/M, 4 years, Affenpinscher mix, 4 lbs

Hello all of you dog lovers....let me introduce myself. My name is
Elmer and I am a 4 yr old Affenpinscher mix who is a mere 4 lbs, if
that much! Maybe I need to hit the gym and build up some muscle, hmm?

I came from another shelter where I was brought in as a stray and now
at MaxFund I have a chance to find a "forever home" where I can sit on
someone's lap, give kisses and get lots of hugs. Not much is known
about me, except that, of course I am sweet and very charming. I would
prefer to be in a home with a calm environment and without any kids. I
am not sure how I am around dogs and cats at this time. I am looking
for a gentle human to give me lots of love and take me through
positive reinforcement training. This will help me with my
socialization and overall training so I can be a first rate "little"
canine citizen. The volunteers and staff are so good to me and have
found me to be playful and friendly.

I look forward to meeting you and hopefully you will be my new
companion forever!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer, a Denver Affenpinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Affenpinscher for sale in Denver, or seeking a Affenpinscher dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Affenpinscher breeders who help with Affenpinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
