Dixie II's Story...
Dixie II is a 1-1/2 year old black & tan female bloodhound. She is current on her vaccinations, spayed, gastroplexied, heartworm negative and microchipped. Dixie is a sweet dog that gets alog well with other dogs, cats & children. Because she is young, she has a lot of energy and likes to chew, so lots of appropriate chew toys are a must! She has a great nose and has used it to find yummy chickens running around in the yard. Her foster home was not amused. Dixie will need an active home that will continue to socialize & train this spunky girl. She would a candidate for SAR work. Her most favorite thing so far is a 3 year old feeding her marshmallows off the end of a stick after roasting. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie II, a Franklin Grove Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Franklin Grove, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Franklin Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
