Sweet and gentle. Very appreciative of everything he gets. We named him Jonny Quest after the 1960s television cartoon. We felt he was on a quest to find a good home, and his life up until now had been one adventure after another much like the cartoon series. Jonny Quest was neglected and then abandoned. A rescuer found him tied to her front porch. He was very skinny and in need of some medical attention. But with TLC he's been given at his foster home, he has flourished. Jonny Quest is a very sweet dog, with a loving spirit. He is wonderful with dogs and people, and is pretty mellow. Because of his hard life, he really appreciates the simple things. A tummy rub, a dog biscuit and any little bit of attention would make his day. He would make a great addition to any family. Because he is an adult dog, his temperament is very even and calm. Gets along great with other dogs, too.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Border Collie breeders who help with American Bulldog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
