Pepper's Story...
Chili and his sister, Pepper, are from Catalina. Chili got his name because he was caught while sitting in a large restaurant sized tin chili can... of course, covered in chili! His sister was caught later, but we had a theme going so we named her Pepper. Chili has dark large spirals on his sides while Pepper is a classic looking tiger striped kitty with white paws and a white chest. They are about 6 months old and are ready to go to their new homes. Pepper is not big on being held or petted, but she enjoys hanging out in whatever room you are in. Her brother Chili is just the opposite... he will barely let me get a typed word in edgewise right now. He is rolling all over the desk (and the keyboard), upset that my hands are not free to pet him! They play so beautifully together that I would love to place them together, so she at least has him as a companion. This is not a requirement, but it would be very nice for both of them. If you are interested, please email us at and put the cat's name in the subject line.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a El Segundo Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Segundo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in El Segundo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Segundo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Segundo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Segundo paves the way for another one to be saved.
