Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rugby is a medium sized dog whose comical looks border on adorable and defy breed identification. Rugby is about a year-and-a-half old and at 53lbs he is a very healthy size and weight. Rugby has been at the shelter since June 2009 possibly because he does not shine in his kennel even though all the handlers have great things to say about him. Rugby can be energetic and jumpy especially when he has not been able to exercise for a while. This excess energy can also cause him to become mouthy and grab at the leash. However after exercise Rugby calms quickly and has good energy level for a young dog and will relax in his crate with a tennis ball to chew.
Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Rugby, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter.
