My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a 30 pound, nine month old Pointer mix. This sweet & silly girl was hit by a car and surrendered to one of our vet clinics who cared for her injuries and returned her to health. She did need to have a rear leg amputated but that has not really slowed her down or hindered her mobility much- she adjusted very quickly to getting around on three legs. She loves people, is great with other dogs, and is even cat friendly. She charmed everyone at the clinic and is now in foster care with dogs of all ages and sizes and doing well and her foster mom thinks she is pretty fantastic!

This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Petco in Southington all three days for Petco’s National Adoption Weekend. On Friday September 6th from 2pm-6pm; Saturday September 7th from 10am - 2pm and lastly on Sunday September 8th from 10am to 1pm! We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
