UPDATED BIO 7/28/2009: Gus is 5-1/2 y/o and weighs 12# - he is being fostered in Boynton Beach, FL. He really is a velcro doggie - he really sticks to Foster Mom like glue. Gus is a wonderful boy - he is all heart and love.....so sweeet! He will do anything to please his person - he likes to take a nap using FM's foot as a pillow - awwww. He is a very smart little boy and really understands every command and responds accordingly. What a perfect little man!
UPDATED BIO 7/1/2009: Gus was recently adopted, but his new owner has birds. It appears that Gus likes birds.... a little TOO much! He chases them (who knew?) While his new family is sad to have to return him, she knows he will find the perfect bird-free FURever home. Could it be yours?
UPDATED BIO 06/08/09: Gus had a recent vet visit and the vet determined that he was closer to 5-1/2 y/o instead of 3 y/o as initially reported. He weighs 12# and is being fostered in Boynton Beach, FL. Gus has been neglected for a very long time - he was covered in ticks, very matted and smelled very, very bad. It wasn't Gus' fault, but his owners who apparently didn't care much about him. So sad. But he's hit Easy Street now - his Foster Mom reports that he is very, very sweet and affectionate. He really wants to please his 'people' - FM said that she awoke to him by her bed this morning, just looking at her and checking to see if she was okay. He wanted her to come closer to the edge of the bed so that he could give her kisses - what a sweet boy! Gus is an active little boy and is very curious about his surroundings. He is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. He seems to be very agreeable with just about everything - the perfect dog!
ORIGINAL BIO 6/3/2009: Hi there! I'm Gus. I'm only 3 years old and weigh 12#. I was rescued today by UYR. FM said I smelled real bad, that I had a bunch of little buggers called ticks, and that the water turned brown after I got a bath. eeeeeeeeeeew! Well, I'm all cleaned up now! FM will be taking me to the groomer soon so that I'll look as good as I feel! I'm also gonna need my toofers worked on.
FM is just getting to know me, but she said that I have a super sweet disposition and that I love all the other furkids in FM's home. I'm lookin' for my FURever family here. Could that be you? Check back for updates when FM gets to know me better, 'kay?
