Neo-PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Neo in person at the Muncie PetSmart! Neo is a very nice boy who has had a rough time. He was born around May 2006 and was brought into our program with a severely dislocated hip after being hit by a car. The vet tried to manually bring the hip into alignment but it popped back out. The only viable solution was to do a FHO (Femoral Head & Neck Osteotomy) surgery. This is where the top of the femur is removed where it forms a ball and socket joint in the hip. Over a pretty short time, scar tissue forms which makes a "false joint", allowing Neo to walk easily and pain free. He still has a little limp but it is improving all the time. He is able to jump up onto the chair and ottoman with ease. He does well with children and would get used to a gentle dog. He tolerates other cats and after a while, even seems to like some of them. Mostly, he just ignores them but if they bother him, he makes a lot of noise but nothing else. Can you give this boy the great new home he deserves?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Neo-PETSMART, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
