Gavin's Story...
Gavin is a little bitty mini Dachshund and a very interesting one at that. You do not see the striking coat color brindle very often. "Brindle" refers to dark stripes over a solid background, usually red; if a dachshund is brindled on a dark coat and has tan points, you will see brindling on the tan points only. Even one single, lone stripe of brindle is brindle.

In addition to being very unique Gavin is extremely sweet and humble. He did not come from the best circumstances being another lost soul from animal control Gavin had some pretty intense wounds on his face. We assume he was bitten by a larger canine but we have no way of knowing. This little man just wants to snuggle, we are looking for the indoor home he craves. Please have an excellent verifiable vet history if you wish to be considered to adopt our special boy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a McDonough Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in McDonough, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in McDonough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McDonough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McDonough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McDonough paves the way for another one to be saved.
