Sage von Sullivan's Story...
Sage von Sullivan is a very handsome 4 year old German Shepherd. Sage looks like a big, tough guy but he loves to cuddle up next to you, lean in and fully enjoy hugs, pets, scratches ... whatever, as long as he can be close. He would like to think he's a lap dog even though he's a pretty big boy! He shares a run with pretty girl Reese and he gets to play with the other shepherds in the play group every day. When he is excited, he tends to be a little mouthy, but nothing aggressive. He knows his sit command and will take treats gently from your hand. He charmed our volunteer who took his pictures within 2 minutes, she is in love with this hunk! We would like to place Sage in a home without small kids because of his occasional mouthiness. Just look at that face ... how can you resist?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage von Sullivan, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
