My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Murphy! Such a loyal and laid-back boy that will melt your heart. He had a rough start on life but after being rescued, he has developed into a fine gentleman. We think he is around 4-5 yrs old and tested + for heartworms but has completed his treatment and is ready to find his forever home. He had an eye disorder called Entropian but had the surgery and now has the most beautiful eyes with great vision. He is housetrained, crate-trained, will sit for treats, and is the best snuggler! He will sleep with his human or is fine in his kennel. Walks great on a leash and likes to take walks. Murphy gets along with all sizes of dogs and does great around children. Very calm and gentle with everyone. He does like to follow his human everywhere they go and stays by their side. This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms, but has been through his treatment and is ready to travel. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
