Sugar's Story...
Sugar is a 6 yr. old 35/40 lb. Lab/boxer mix. She is a medium size girl great on leash. She is very playful with other dogs, but recently has shown that she does not tolerate small miniature dogs (Chihuahua's and Min-Pin's) She is pictured with her original Foster Mom- right out of the Gorman Rescue Effort . Sugar is housebroken and has been living in an apartment environment with 3 walks a day and weekend trips to Dog Beach and Fiesta Island (so she is goo off leash too). Sugar came from a horrible situation in Gorman and can not go back into a shelter environment- it crushed her personality, trust and happiness once, now that she is back I would love for her to move into her lifelong loving home. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all shots, and has recently been for a general health check up. If you meet her, you will know why she is named Sugar!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Vista Boxer/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Vista, or seeking a Boxer/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
