Akira's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Akira's Story...
Akira was on his way to the shelter when a volunteer was able to intercept him before he got there. Akira is about 6 pounds, is a year old, and gets along well with other dogs. He bonds very quickly to one person and all he really thinks he needs is you! It takes him a little bit to get to know you, but once he does, he gets very protective of you and will growl and snarl at strangers when you are holding him. He's a typical Chihuahua - a large dog trapped in such a small little body... but he is so darn cute! If you are interested in finding out more, please call his fostermom, Shannon, at (562) 256-6441.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Akira, a Rolling Hills Estates Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Rolling Hills Estates, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Rolling Hills Estates.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rolling Hills Estates already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rolling Hills Estates breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rolling Hills Estates paves the way for another one to be saved.
