Calli's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Calli's Story...
Do not pass up this chocolate girl. Callie is about 6 years old (but doesn't look or feel it), mild mannered and weighs about 60 lbs. Callie is a very pretty and an extremely nice Lab who will make any family proud. She is another great Lab who gets along with other dogs well, but definitely prefers to be right beside her human. She will be a very loyal companion and a terrific family member. Callie is good with men, women, older children and is okay with cats. If a cat just sits there she is fine, but if the cat runs, she will want to chase him. She knows how to sit and stay. She is crate trained, house trained and walks well on lead. Callie likes the water and loves the treats (especially when they are preceded by a lot of good girl praises). Callie would make a great dog for a first time owner or someone who wants an easy-going dog. She is considered medium energy. Callie already knows sit and down and would quickly learn any other commands.

Callie is spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. If you are interested in making this wonderful girl part of your family, please fill out an online application and request her on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calli, a Salem Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
