My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OTTO: Four year old neutered male, black and tan, 15.9 lbs, docked tail, natural ears, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative.

Hi all you people out there! I’m Otto, and I’m the most playful and energetic and most wonderful dog you will find anywhere! I can do lots of neat things, like jumping up REALLY high when I’m excited to see you, and going into my crate at night when you say “nite-nite.” I don’t bark a lot, just when I’m playing mostly. I also know how to wait to eat my food until you tell me it’s OK. I’m so smart!!

This new home I’m in is really different than where I came from. I’ve learned that the funny looking hole in the door with a flap lets me go outside so I can do all my business out there instead of in the house! COOL! I remember nine times out of ten and boy are they happy and excited when I do that!

Outdoors in the fenced-in yard where I get to run really fast and work off all my energy, there’s also this round thing with water in it. I think they call it a “baby pool” or something like that. It’s the neatest thing in the hot summers here in Tennessee – I love to get in and splash around and cool off.

The people in this house let me roam around inside instead of keeping me in a crate all the time, which is REALLY REALLY cool. I have so much energy that it’s really hard to be cooped up all day, which is how things used to be. I’m a good boy and chew on my bones and play with toys instead of eating up the house like I’ve heard some other dogs out there do. I still go in my crate at night to sleep, though, and I don’t mind that at all. Sometimes I even get to have naps on their nice warm laps, which I really like. Ah, snoozing in comfort!

The vet said I’m all “up to date” and a very healthy boy. Everyone thinks I’m just the handsomest boy on the block, and I have been told I’m a wonderful kisser too! I’m looking for a home that I can call my own for the rest of my life. Is that home with you???

Note: Otto is located near Nashville, Tennessee.
