Lucky's Story...
Lucky is Sonny's brother. He's a sweet guy. He's not a young puppy so he keeps getting over looked. People are really missing out though because at this age he's ready to learn new things, go places& he's full of energy! His newest activity is splashing around in a kids plastic pool.

He hasn't had too much training in his life, but what he is taught he always is proud of. He came to the rescue not too long ago with is brothers & sisters. They were the puppies who didn't find homes as young puppies from an unplanned litter. Mom has since been spayed. They ended up in an animal control shelter that has to euthanize due to lack of space & constant new-comers. Our rescue got him out & now he's waiting for a new home.

He's not a really large guy. He probably weighs about 40-45 pounds. He's around 8 months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Gahanna Coonhound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound (Unknown Type) for sale in Gahanna, or seeking a Coonhound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Gahanna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gahanna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gahanna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Coonhound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gahanna paves the way for another one to be saved.
