Reba Dumplin's Story...
Hi! My name is Reba Dumplin'. I was just Reba but my foster mom decided that I looked like a Dumplin' so I am now Reba Dumplin'. I am also part of a bonded pair. I need to be adopted with my best friend Sophie.

I am not very old, probably less than two. The vet said I had a hard life before I was rescued because I had heart worms and was very shy, particularly around men. Now, since I have been with my foster family, I have been treated and cured of the heart worms and I am learning to trust people. I even respond to my foster Dad.

I have several foster sisters and brothers and I love to play with them. We have strechy toys and a Kong and we play and play. I love to sleep on the couch in the den. Sometimes I like to jump into my foster mom's lap and get my head and belly rubbed.

I sleep in my crate and never have an accident in there.....even if my foster parents sleep late. If I just can't hold it during the day, I use the wee-wee pads. I have short hair and probably am a Chi/Doxie mix but who knows. All we know is that I am a real cutie that weights about 20 pounds and needs a forever home. You can see me at the next adoption days at PetsMart in Rivergate. Oh, and I am spayed and up to date on shots and Frontline. Come see me and take me home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reba Dumplin, a Hendersonville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hendersonville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hendersonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hendersonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hendersonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hendersonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
