My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m one funny-looking dude – my name means “little chunk” in German. My mom was a small French Bulldog and my dad was a large Dachshund. I’m a little shy at first, but once I’m sure you are okay – I am very bubbly and happy. I tend to nip a lot – I’m only about 9 weeks of age (7/12/09), so I just can’t help it – when I’m excited, I jump up and nip. I want to get to your face and say “hello”!

I like to run around and get under/behind things – that's the Doxie in me! I am not house-broken yet – I'm too young for that kinda stuff.

I’m a little uncertain of larger pups and dogs – there are several here at my foster home. I get along okay with them, but then when I run/jump at them – they run and jump at me – and that’s a little scary! I’ll do okay with another dog – but if they are larger – constant monitoring is needed for quite awhile because I can easily be injured by a larger pup/dog.

I will not be adopted to a home with kids under 12 – my foster Mom thinks I might be part alligator – ‘cause I really jump and nip when I’m excited!

I will not be adopted out with my sister Eustacia – we need to go to separate homes – she’s a bit to bossy to me.

I've been dewormed, am up to date with puppy vaccinations, and am on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
