I got a little turned around one day, and being an @ 5 year old male I couldn’t possibly ask for directions!! Animal Control picked me up and said- “Hey this isn't just any stray dog! He is a Five Point Red Purebred Shar Pei! Beautiful red horsecoat, adorable meat mouth, and a tail with a crook of personality. He must have gotten lost from a fine home!" They could see I was full of confidence and loved people. Luckily they held me until the great guys at North American Shar-Pei Rescue could find me a foster home. Not only did they treat my heartworms, I had entropion surgery, really just an eye lift, just like the Hollywood stars! I love playing with other dogs, but sometimes I get reprimanded for being a little bossy, but aren't redheads supposed to be a bit feisty? And lemme let you in on a secret, you can't buy happiness, but toys can! Oh, stuffies and bones, the good things in life!! I am great at keeping myself entertained all day with my toys, with walk breaks of course. I'm very fast at learning tricks, I hope I find a friend that can teach me more!
I know a lot about humans too. They don't want me on the furniture, potty is for outside only, and since I'm 45 lbs. they don't like to be jumped on. No problem! Those things are rude unless you're invited! I prefer my bed and kennel anyway. I do not chew shoes or furniture- I have my toys for that. When home alone, I can be trusted out of my kennel- or if you prefer me in the kennel that’s OK too.
My dream home will have lots of love to share, and I'll bring lots of love with me too. I really am a cuddle bunny, and my foster says I am really silly and goofy. I can put on quite an entertaining performance! I really enjoy neighborhood strolls too. In return I will help you too- I have magic powers that eliminate stress when you pet and walk me, and if you love me- you will be forever loved and protected. I sure am interested in investigating cats, but I've never been close enough to one to see if we could live together or not. Only loving people need apply please!
