Guinness's Story...
Do you like puppies? Well, I am one from head to toe and will enjoy bringing laughter into your home. There’s nothing better than the curiosity of a puppy to really put life in its perspective, right? Puppies are happy 24/7 and I’m no exception. You can tell by my sweet, cute face that I enjoy puppyhood. My pictures show you that I am a very handsome, long-haired german shepherd dog (gsd), with beautiful markings of red and black. I’m a real “head turner” on walks. One of the greatest things about my young age is that I have very little history to overcome. I’m still in the discovery mode and enjoy learning everything I can about my world. Meeting people and other animals is one of my happiest activities and I glow both inside and out. However, I do want to let you know that I’m pretty curious about squirrels running in front of me and climbing trees, so I’m probably best in a home without cats. It would also be a good idea to enroll me in obedience classes after you take me home as I want to have good behaviors to make you proud of me. I’m at a wonderful age to start learning.

Now that you know about me and are thinking of meeting me, I do have something I want to ask you. When I was found wandering around I was not alone. There was another dog with me named Kira. When the volunteer came to the shelter to meet me, she saw Kira and immediately recognized that we must have always been together and share a “brother/sister” bond. It was heartbreaking to think about only saving one of us, so the rescue group decided to save Kira as well. I can’t tell you how glad I am that Kira is here. I really enjoy her company and she relies on me like an older brother. Kira, like me, is a puppy and probably a couple of months younger than me. She may not be a purebred german shepherd, but she looks like she has a lot of gsd in her. Kira is a sweet, funny girl, who loves to romp and play. If you are considering me, would it be possible for you to open your heart a little wider and consider adopting Kira as well? If you like our package, we promise to give you double the fun and double the joy. What a bargain!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Guinness, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
