Hunter is a sweet, shy, Dachshund who is approximately one year old. Like many of our adoptees, he comes to us via the pound. A guardian familiar with Dachshunds would be ideal. Hunter is still very young and Dachshunds are notoriously difficult to toilet train, so he needs a home where he is not alone all day. Hunter loves to go for long walks and enjoys running through the long grass. Hunter does tend to be submissive so he will need a kind and patient guardian who will help him to learn what is expected of him. Obedience classes would go a long way in helping Hunter to feel secure. If you are an experienced guardian who is ready for a 12 to 15-year commitment, please fill in the Adoption Form.
