Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky von San Gabriel is stunning designer dog, or at least that is what one of our volunteers called him. She kept saying he is a Santa Monica dog, a beach dog, she could just see him with a wonderful family! She had seen Rocky for over a period of 9 months at a shelter, he was obviously a special dog to the staff or he wouldn’t have lasted so long. Our guess is he is Husky, touch of Akita, no German Shepherds unless generations ago, plus a touch of other breeds. Maybe when he is adopted his new parents will do genetic testing, but it doesn’t matter he has the winning combination. When the shelter was starting to get alarmingly crowed we decided it was time for us to take Rocky. Rocky is around 18 months old, he is a large boy, beautiful thick coat, extremely sweet. He arrived just when we were having a busy adoption event. He hung out with dogs on leashes, kids jumping around. He sniffed for a minute at a wire crate with two young cats; they didn’t give him a second look either. He was more interested in their cat treats. Another volunteer called him “mellow as jello”, he is calm and just incredible. Rocky is a very resilient, adaptable personality and we think he would do well almost anywhere.
