My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sissy Spacek has been declared the Most Polite Houseguest in her foster home by her foster mom. Sissy is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, jumps in the car and rides nicely, and she gets along with all the cats and dogs in her foster home. Sissy is essentially perfect in every way and her foster mom is hoping that she teaches everyone in the house some good manners before she moves on to a home of her own. This sweet girl is approximately 7 years old and weighs around 40 pounds and she was picked up as a stray and went unclaimed at a municiple shelter prior to coming to rescue and we are so glad we were able to save her bacon because she is just the best and most deserving girl. Sissy's hobbies involve sitting quietly and judging her foster mom's poorly behaved cats, snarfing treats, going for walks with her dog friends, and being a v good girl. She goes to the back door when she has to go potty and she wouldn't dream of doing anything so untoward as chewing up anything she wasn't allowed to have. If you are looking to add a sweet, easy, gentle dog to your home, Sissy Spacek might just be your girl! (Her foster mom has promised to post more pictures of Sissy ASAP)

This dog is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
