My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alice was almost put down at a local shelter because it was thought she had a badly injured or broken leg. Turns out that either the leg was dreadfully injured and broken when she was tiny, or else she was born with a defective leg. One rear leg cannot straighten out, bear weight or be used except to balance herself a little, so she needs to be in a one-level home with no small children or large, boisterous pets who could easily bowl her over, and owners who will help her with her affliction, such as pet stairs or a carpeted drum in case she has trouble getting up onto your bed. Our vet said nothing can be done for her leg because everything healed, just very badly, if it was an injury. Alice is SO SO SWEET, a teeny-tiny little thing who always seems kind of worried, with big, worried eyes, but she loves attention and petting. Oh, by the way, when we got her out of the shelter, she apparently had recently been nursing kittens ... She's spayed and all up to date on shots now, and ready to go to a calm, loving home where she can hop around to her little heart's content.
