Rusty - Video!'s Story...
Arrival story: This handsome guy came to us from a rural shelter. He was picked up as a stray with an embedded chain around his neck; the shelter had the chain surgically removed and Rusty neutered. They then discovered Rusty had heartworms and they could not afford the expense to house and treat him. Waggin Tails came to his rescue and Rusty has now undergone heartworm treatment and is as good as new!

Approximate age / weight: 2 years old and 56 lbs.

Personality: I'm a super affectionate, energetic, fun-loving boy who would love to have a buddy to jog and play tug of war with. My buddy needs to be a hands-on companion because I love to be petted and get tons of belly rubs! My buddy needs to be strong, too, because I am very strong myself! My foster mom says I am a diamond in the rough and will blossom in the right home. I keep my crate very clean and appear to be housebroken. I should not live with cats, though, as I see them as prey.

My foster mom is baffled how my former owner could let my chain collar hurt me so badly, yet he fed me regularly. I was not starved when I was found. My foster mom is delighted that I have no food aggression issues. It took me over a week to start chewing on the delicious chewy she left me in my crate, and I haven't even started on the peanut butter flavored rawhide bone yet!

Forever home: I want a strong, active buddy who has bully breed experience and isn't shy about showing me affection!
