Nita's Story...
Meet Nita! Nita is one of the most caring and kind dogs we have had through our shelter. She has been with us since 7/28/09, she and her "family", a brother, sister and mom were tossed over the fence at the shelter. Nita stayed at the shelter a few months until going to her foster mom's farm. She loves to watch everything going on and is the official greeter. She loves to play "peek-a-boo" out of her dog house. She will run and dive into the dog house and wait then pop back out. (as you can see in her photo) She loves attention and loves to love you. She is still a little bit timid around new faces, but warms up quick to them. Please help us find this loving girl her forever home that she more than deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nita, a Florence Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Florence, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Florence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florence paves the way for another one to be saved.
