Lester's Story...
Can you see the yearning in my beautiful eyes? Bet you can tell what a sweet & good dog I am. My name's Lester. I'm 1-2 years old & weigh about 50 lbs. True to my Lab heritage, I'm a sweet, gentle & very friendly boy. The volunteers say I'm an outstanding boy & a great family dog. I nuzzle in close & am always up for walk, to play, or just hang out. Whatever you feel like doing, I'm happy to be your loyal companion. I'm smart, responsive & eager to please. You know Labs, we live to be close to people. Right now though, I don't have a special person & that's breaking my big heart. I'm hoping you'll see all that I have to offer & say: "Lester should be my best friend!" I'm healthy, neutered, vaccinated & heartworm tested. My friends at pals@psknet.com will be happy to send you an adoption application. Or, complete an application at www.radfordpoundpals.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lester, a Radford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Radford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
