Hannibal (Bob)'s Story...
This dog is an American Bulldog that was adopted and returned due to a health issues in the family. The previous owner loved this dog and cried when he was returned. She reports he gets along well with other dogs and had a four month old pup for a pal. He does not realize how big and strong he is and wants to sit on you. He does not do well with cats and is a little fearful of men; not knowing his history, he could have been hurt by a man, but gets along with them once he knows and trust them. He was learning to walk nicely in a leash but still needs practice. Hannibal is smart and lovable and is house trained. He does not seem to bother items in the house or tear up anything or bother the garbage. His special treat is a ride in the car. He is a sloppy eater but we all have our shortcomings. His previous owner hopes his new owner will be patient with him and provide him the love he deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannibal (Bob), a Somerset American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Somerset, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Somerset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somerset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somerset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somerset paves the way for another one to be saved.
