My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BonBon, a 14 month old neutered male, white, Lhasa Apso and Maltese mix, is an “owner surrender” dog. His parents dropped him off at the shelter when they decided they had a “change of lifestyle” and had no more “time for him.” Turns out BonBon, had been relegated to the back yard and never fed! He was so emaciated when arriving at the shelter that he had to be fed twice daily. BonBon, was at the shelter for a few days before put on “Death Row.” It is amazing how such a cute, cuddly and sweet puppy was passed up and not adopted. He has no behavioral or medical issues and is very eager to move into his new “fur-ever” home and spend the rest of his life in a stable, loving environment where his new parents will have time to interact, walk and play with him. BonBon loves to give kisses in appreciation of anyone’s kindness and is a great candidate for training. Because he was previously in a home environment, he is used to being alone most of the day but enjoys being with humans when they are home from work. Housebreaking BonBon, to his new home will also tend to be a shorter learning curve because of his previous acclimation to being in a home environment as well.
