Chloe's Story...
Delightful Chloe came into the Catnip Cottage with Cleo and their two litters of kittens from a rural shelter in Georgia in 2009, where all were scheduled to be euthanized by gas. Loving and nurturing Chloe raised her own kittens and has foster-raised, fed and taught several orphans here as well. One of her foster kittens that she arrived with, Holly, has recently been returned because of her adopted family's medical issues. Chloe herself has just been returned because of a family member's allergies. Now Chloe and her foster child are together again in the Catnip Cottage and are looking for a new home, either together or separately. Chloe is now about 5 years old. She is a very loving, sweet, well-mannered and lovely kitty who deserves the very best home where she will be cherished. This lady is incredibly gorgeous, inside and out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Summerville Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
