Tinker's Story...
Tinker is a very sweet DSH Orange Tabby. His people just up and moved to Europe and dumped him and the dog off at a family members home. They did not want pets so they contacted our rescue group for help. Poor Tinker was so upset the first few days when he came to us that he “screamed” whenever anyone (human or cat) went near his cage. He’s getting used to his new living arrangements now and is a wonderful cat who loves to give kisses and head butts! He was already neutered and was tested for Felv/FIV prior to our group taking him in. He would love to have a home of his own once again, where he will be loved for the “rest of his life”.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinker, a Pasadena Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Pasadena, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Pasadena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pasadena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pasadena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pasadena paves the way for another one to be saved.
