Maggie's Story...
Greetings from Chicago English Bulldog Rescue!

We are one-and-only English Bulldog rescue in the state of Illinois recognized by the Bulldog Club of America and the Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network! What that means for adopters and surrendering families and shelters is that our bullies get the highest level of care and commitment. They spend their time with us in foster homes where they get daily love and attention. No cages, no institutions.

We are an Illinois licensed shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English bulldogs, including a high quality diet, the best veterinary care from a bulldog specialist, and behavioral evaluations, exceeds any rescue organization around. Your contributions to help care for our bullies would be so appreciated as each rescue typically costs us more in care than the adoption fees we collect. CLICK HERE TO DONATE. All donations are tax deductible as provided by law.

Our adoption area includes Chicago-proper and the surrounding suburbs, Northern Illinois, Southeastern Wisconsin, Northwest Indiana, Rockford, and parts of Milwaukee including the Waukesha and Burlington areas. To determine whether your town is in our adoption radius please VIEW OUR ADOPTION AREA MAP.

Hi! I am Maggie. I was born into CEBR’s care on June 6, 2009. We sure were a surprise to the rescue! They have been taking really good care of me and my siblings. I am now 9 weeks old and ready for adoption! You can learn more about my mom, my siblings and me at .

I am the quieter one of my litter but that isn’t saying much because we are all pretty spunky pups! I currently weigh about 8 pounds I keep growing more every day. I am eating puppy food now and drinking water like a big bully. I am a good eater! I love to play and wrestle after eating but then I am a sleepy head and take long naps. Sometimes my brother or sisters wake me up to play and then I get them back by nipping at their legs or wrestling them to the ground! I love to pounce and play with toys too!

I am fawn colored with a white “V” shape on my belly. I am a pretty mellow girl. I don’t whine as much as some of my other sisters and will sit pretty and stare up at my foster parents when they talk to me! I am a big sweetheart, looking for a home who loves snuggles.

Puppy kisses,

Maggie’s adoption fee is $1200 (but we would welcome an additional donation given that puppies usually cost so much more). Our adoption criteria for Maggie are as follows:

-- CEBR Adoption Radius Only. NO EXCEPTIONS.

--A home capable of understanding and providing for bulldog’s special quirks.

--Someone home all day (or work from home family) to properly train a bully puppy.

--Other pets & children would be a-okay.

Before moving forward with an application, please read our Adoption Criteria and view our Adoption Radius Map. Spending a few minutes doing this will ensure you are qualified to adopt from us. We wouldn’t want you to apply only to realize we can not adopt to your home.

Because we receive so many inquiries about our dogs, we’re sorry to say that we can’t follow up on all them. If you are interested in one of our bullies, please complete an application by visiting and click on Apply To Adopt. We will not be able to respond to individual phone calls or emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Park Ridge English Bulldog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Park Ridge, or seeking a English Bulldog puppy from a breeder in Park Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Park Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Park Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Park Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
