Gizmo & Gigi's Story...
Gizmo and Gigi are adorable 5 year old Pekingese brother and sister who must be adopted together as they are bonded. Gizmo is a little bigger than his sister but they both weigh under 12 pounds. Their former owner recently died. They were very well cared for and she loved them very much. She even built them their own screen room so they could bask in the sun. They are very sweet and loving but can get a little nippy when stressed when being confronted by strangers for the first time. After they get to know you, they are absolutely precious. A home without small children is preferred. They seem to get along with most dogs but not all. Please see our home page for a list of our Saturday adoption sites. These dogs can not be adopted out of state. If you are interested in adopting Gizmo and Gigi, please call Penny Adams at 619-466-0426.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo & Gigi, a Spring Valley Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
