Battie's Story...
Battie is an approximately 4 - 6 year old pint sized, black and rust female with a large patch of “bed head” on her neck! She is shy for the first 2 minutes after she meets you and then she is all about getting pets and love. Battie is about 9 inches tall and 9 pounds with perky little cropped ears and a docked tail. Battie is curious about new things and she gets along well with other dogs and she would like to adopt a family with other small dogs in the home. She would like to be active – walks and car rides and lots of adventures will keep her social and well behaved.
Battie is an escapee from a Missouri puppy mill where she had babies every 6 months since she was under a year old. She would like to be spoiled to make up for the loving she missed. Once she understands what her humans would like, she is very happy to oblige. She knows come and she and her human should learn basic obedience together so she learns a lot more of what is expected of her. She is crate trained, enjoys belly rubs, being with her humans and not missing any of the action in her family – and of course, being loved. Battie has some house manners but needs consistency.
Battie will be spayed, up to date on her shots, micro chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. Battie knows basic commands (when she knows it is beneficial to her), rides well, is kennel trained, gets along with most other dogs and humans and loves adventures. Is your family ready to be loved by a curious little love bug with lots of happiness and love to give?
If you would like Battie to join your family, please go to and fill out an Adoption Application (under Online Forms).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Battie, a Phoenix Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
