General Red's Story...
Red is a 5 year old rust male with a cropped tail and warm loving eyes. He was found wandering around a park in the middle of the night, extremely underweight and his ears had been badly bitten by flies. He now weighs 16 pounds and his ears are almost completely healed! He loves to play or lay out in the sun, but his most favorite thing in the world to do is snuggle and cuddle with his humans and doggy siblings. He is quiet and likes to find a comfy place to catch a few Zzz’s. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but prefers a close relationship with his humans. He currently lives with 3 other dogs (all females) so he has other doggies to hang out with, and learn manners from since someone else is the alpha – not him! His minpin sister bugs him to play all the time, so he would prefer to be in a home with a calmer sibling or by himself. He is doggy door trained and is happy to be in his kennel while you are at work. He has gotten much better at coming when called, but still is a little adventurer, so he must have a fenced-in yard. Red LOVES car rides…they are very fascinating to him. He is a very precious and adorable sweet boy! Red continues to work on his house manners and obedience training. He is still working at walking on a leash, but he is very food motivated which is great for training. He would eat peanut butter all day if he could!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

General Red, a Phoenix Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
