Ella is shy at first but loves to be the center of attention. She is very playful and gets along well with other cats. She likes to curl up in cat beds, especially fluffy ones. If you're looking for Ella, she's probably somewhere warm and cozy.
Ella would do well with other cats, with her sibling or even by herself. Ella has on sister named Indigo. They could be adopted together or separatly. Ella needs to be adopted with another cat or adopted into a home that already has a cat. She would not do well as an only cat. We have decided to ask for a home for Ella without loud children or noisy dogs. She startles easily and we don't think she would be happy in a home with a lot of commotion. Older, quieter children or calm dogs should be fine.
Ella is a sweet, quiet girl who has become much more outgoing over the past few months. She follows us around chirping at us and will roll around trying to catch our attention. She knows her name and comes over when you call her. She is very loving and affectionate with her foster family but will need a forever family who understands that it will take her some time to warm up to them. Please consider our Ella, she will make such a wonderful pet for the right family!
The adoption fee for Ella is $50.00 or $75.00 for a her and anther cat.

Rescue Group Info...
We seek to rescue the abandoned, the unwanted, the unloved - the cats that need us.
- To care for and provide a loving, cage free home for cats awaiting adoption.
- To reduce euthanasia in overcrowded shelters by taking in cats that need more TLC.
- To educate the public about proper and responsible care of domestic companion animals.
Kitty Colony was founded in Lancaster County, PA.
As volunteers for various rescues, we began to rescue and foster ferals and adoptables in need of special care and attention - we especially try to take needy cats and kittens from shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized.
Kitty Colony has branched out since first beginning its adoption program in Jenkintown, PA and now encompasses Ephrata and Lancaster as well.
We have several foster homes and our home base for the Lancaster area is in Ephrata, PA.
Funds for Supplies (Food, Litter, Medical Supplies)
We operate out of foster homes - most of which are not open to the public, but we are working to open more foster homes to visitors in the near future.
For the present we meet by appointment only at local petsmarts in Lancaster, Willow Grove and Jenkintown.
