Louie's Story...
Meet Louie! He's a pedigreed, 4 year old, neutered, pet-quality, chocolate silver ocicat. Now this guy has character and is sure to fit in anywhere (as you can see, he likes to play with his foster brother, Mikey). He tolerates dogs, other cats, and loves kids. He does NOT tolerate being left alone for extended periods and suffers from seperation anxiety. He has a condition similar to IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and must be monitored and controlled by new owner, special diet, and vet. Otherwise, he is faithful to using the litter box if it's easily accessible and cleaned daily. He's not much of a talker, but loves hanging around people and getting brushed, petted, and played with. You might consider adopting him along with his non-related ocicat sister, Rosie. Adoption fee for Lou is $80 to approved home.

Please email or call for more information about them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Manistee Ocicat cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ocicat for sale in Manistee, or seeking a Ocicat cat from a breeder in Manistee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manistee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manistee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ocicat breeders who help with Ocicat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manistee paves the way for another one to be saved.
