Simba's Story...
Hello meet Simba. He was found on the 4th of July in a shopping center just crying scared out of his whits from all the fireworks. He must have gotten seperated from his mom and siblings and we took him in. Since we took him in he has been so great. He loves to play and nap and act silly. He is about 8 months, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped which will be included in his adoption fee. His adoption fee is $ 75 which covers all of his vetting. If you are interested in meeting Simba please email Gina at rescueboxers@yahoo.com or call her at 815-531-4929. An adoption application and home visit are required prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Plainfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
