Sandy's Story...
Sandy is a female Pittie mix that is approximately 3 years old. We are told that she has spent most her life on a chain and then ended up a shelter to be euthanized....poor girl!!! She is very friendly, rolls over for belly rubs, licks your face and leans in to be petted. She has been around small kids and is fine with them. She does well around other dogs, but no kitties please. Sandy has been fully vetted and has been spayed. Her adoption donation is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Chicago Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
