MIndi's Story...
Did I overhear you say you were looking for a beautiful purebred Golden Retriever? Well look at me! I just happen to be exactly what you are looking for! I’m Mindi and I have spent my entire life in a puppy mill until now. My previous life experiences have caused me to be timid and shy initially, but my foster family is working with me to bring me out of my shell. I am completely housebroken and great with other dogs! I love to follow my foster siblings lead and am even starting to initiate playtime which is pretty amazing! I am good with kids, but would be best served in a home with older children as I do tend to spook very easily and smaller children’s sudden movements will scare me. RROC is looking for a home that will be patient with my shyness and has another dog that can help me learn all the fun things that home life has to offer! I am anxiously waiting for my perfect forever family so if you think that’s you then please, please, ask about me today!

We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $250, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $195 and our super seniors are $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MIndi, a Evergreen Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
