Bear is a one year old, 62 pound, GSD mix dog that is just the right mix of sweet and tiny bit shy. He has a gentle demeanor and is affectionate and people oriented. He is a little shy at first and would love a person that will show him that the world is actually pretty great since he lived the first year of his life just rambling the countryside with his dog friends. He has gone for car rides, learned the leash is actually good because it means he gets to go for a walk (which he loves), and he has very good social skills with his dog friends.
He will be a perfect partner for walks around your neighborhood, hanging out in the yard, or even hiking adventures. He is wicked smart and will pick up obedience training quickly. Bear would love to either have someone home with him during the day or even better be able to go to work with his person! He wants to be where his people are and does have a little issue with separation anxiety. Bear will make a wonderful new BFF for whoever is lucky enough to welcome him into their home.
This handsome boy is house broken and will go into his crate with a yummy treat of peanut butter.

Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.
After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
