Delilah's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Delilah's Story...
Delilah is about 2 years old. She is very sweet but very nervous with new people. She is a screamer meaning frequently when you go to touch her she will scream or yelp like you are hurting her - likely a result of being abused. She will mouth a hand that reaches for her too suddenly but does not bite down, meaning she does not want to bite she is just so terrified of what might happen. Delilah will do best with a dog experienced owner; desensitization methods should work well with her. She is good with other dogs and cats but will not be placed in a home with children. Beautiful dog but she does need a fare amount of work.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a Howes Cave Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Howes Cave, or seeking a Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Howes Cave.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howes Cave already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howes Cave breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Husky/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howes Cave paves the way for another one to be saved.
