My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 9/6/09: Haalia is at PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville this weekend. She still have severe visual impairement and needs to see an eye specialist but she is a sweet, fun, loving, and healthy girl. She has received 2 FVRCP shots and has 1 more set to go and she has been spayed. Please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com if you are interested in her or can help her have her eyes evaluated.
POSTED 8/16/09: Haalie is a special needs kitten. She is about 10 weeks old. She was rescued along with her mom from a dangerous and unhealthy home. Haalia is very sweet and loving and has been in a foster home with experienced cat people and 2 loving older children. She has a congenital eye defect where her pupils do not constrict normally. Haalia can see and will play with toys and follow fingers, but her vision is impaired. She needs to have an indoor only home and can never be outside. We would like for her to be adopted to someone who understands her special needs and can provide a safe home for her. She is very loving and affectionate and we do not feel like her eyes will require any long term care or treatment. She has not been evaluated by an ophthalmologist due to our financial limitations. If you would like to donate to Haalia so we can have her eyes properly evaluated, please e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com. Haalia will only be adopted locally and we do not ship any of our animals by airplane. All of our cats and kittens have been vet checked, leukemia tested, fecal parasite tested and dewormed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites with Advantage multi, and have been microchipped for permanent identification so they will hopefully never be homeless again. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care expenses. E-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption application or visit our adoption coordinator on Sat or Sun from 11am-5pm each weekend at PetsMart on Archer Road in Butler Plaze in Gainesville, FL.
