Sid's Story...
POSTED 8/16/09: Sid is a 5 month old seal point (cream colored with dark ears, tail, and feet) short haired blue eyed Siamese mix kitten. He was originally given to an 80 year old elderly women as a gift but at her age she was not able to care for a kitten. Sid is very affectionate and sweet. He loves people and he loves other cats. We aren't sure how he is with dogs yet but he is a very easy going fun kitten. He is being fostered with Hopper and FiddleFaddle and will be at PetsMart each weekend during our adoption hours. Sid is available for local adoptions only. We do not ship any of our animals by airplane to new homes. All of our cats and kittens have been vet checked, leukemia tested, fecal parasite tested and dewormed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites with Advantage multi, and have been microchipped for permanent identification so they will hopefully never be homeless again. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care expenses. E-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption application or visit our adoption coordinator on Sat or Sun from 11am-5pm each weekend at PetsMart on Archer Road in Butler Plaze in Gainesville, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sid, a Putnam Hall Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
