My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yogi is Adopted

Yogi is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and his adoption fee/donation is $250

Yogi was adopted in April and was returned due to biting issues.
He will bite unexpectedly and needs an experienced adopter to work with him and his issues

Yogi is a 8 year old cocker spaniel who was seized due to his owner not being able to care for him properly.
He has a big personality!
He loves toys, fetch and walks! For being overweight, he is very busy.

Yogi gets bored easily and likes to have something to chew on or play with.
He knows how to sit and shake and has been working on other commands and is a food driven learner.
He does well with other animals as long as they don't try to take his bone from him.

We have been working on some handling issues with yogi.
He doesn’t like certain areas touched, like his undersides, unless he rolls over and invites you to scratch his belly.
He is now letting me pick him up into the car which is a huge step for him.
He also seems to have anxiety issues and he does not do well in his crate.
If left in a crate he will destroy it to get free. The vet will start him on Prozac to see if it helps with his separation anxiety.

Due to some of his handling issues I believe he would do best in a home without smaller children.
He does well with other dogs and even cats though!

Yogi is currently 45 pounds, and this is partly due to hypothyroidism, which he is on medication for twice a day.
He has no issues with medicine and takes it like a treat
This condition will require him to see a vet every few months to check his T4 levels.

Yogi is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
